History
Founded in 2004 as a traditional hot rod shop focusing on rods and customs from 1964 and earlier, HRCC soon gained a reputation for building race cars that perform, yielding the World’s Fastest Super Stock title in 2009. In 2014, we launched the Skunkworks Racing Division as a way to build that side of the business while still taking care of our traditional hot rodding customers.
Notable builds include the Raybestos Brakes 1964 Raybestos GTO-R, Craftsman Tools 1965 Mercury Comet-R, 1964 Plymouth “Violent” Valiant, the 1970 “LeMans” Corvette, 1965 Plymouth Barracuda, 1940 Ford “Kosmic Outcast”, 1933 Ford “Tangerine Scream”, and 1931 Model A “Back Seat Betty”.
Our builds have appeared on Hot Rod TV, Hot Rod Garage, Barrett Jackson TV, Overhaulin’, PowerNation TV, MavTV Optima’s Search for the Ultimate Street Car, and in magazines such as Hot Rod, Super Chevy, Rod & Custom, Traditional Rod & Kulture, Classic Trucks, Overkill, Mopar Collector’s Guide, Powerglide (France), Street Rod Milestones, Popular Hot Rodding, Mopar Muscle and other publications domestically and internationally as well as video features on RaybestosGarage.com and craftsman.com.
